Q: chirping question on my 2004 infiniti i35?
i have a 2004 infiniti i35. whenever the rpms pass somewhere between 925 and 975, it makes a chirping noise. we sent it in for warranty repair at infiniti. they changed the serpentine belts, but the chirping sound still exists. does anyone have a similar problem or know what the problem is? thanks.
A: Take it to the Nissan Dealership and ask them. It's the same engine that's put in Maximas, Altimas, and many other Nissans. They have probably run across it before.
I have a g35 and have had nothing but problems with my Infiniti dealership. Our cross town Nissan dealership blows them out of the water, service wise. You don't get the free coffee that the Infiniti dealership gives out, but i'll take the alternative.
Q: Looking for rims for an Infiniti I35?
I am looking for rims for my 2003 black Infiniti I35 and am not really able to find what i'm looking for. I'm trying to find 18" silver/chrome rims with black accents on the chrome. If anyone is able to locate these or knows of a place to find them, I'd love to see them. Thanks.
A: its been a week, and ure still looking..
Just go to ure local spares store and ask them for whats available and choose from that.....
Q: What kind of tires would be best for a 2002 Infiniti I35?

Q: How do I replace a seatbelt on an Infiniti I35?
As seen before, I asked about replacing a seatbelt. How is that done?
A: I recommend getting the service manual from Nissan/Infiniti - I believe the entire manual costs over $200, but you can get 1 day access for 9.99 (can't guarantee this is still the price - it was a few years ago anyway.) See link below. A trick I found out is that since the manuals are .PDF format, you can pay for 1 day access but download the individual files and you get the entire $200+ manual for $10. I could copy & paste the text for you but I'm afraid it wouldn't make much sense without the illustrations included in the manual. By the way, if you pay for the 1 day access, the section of the manual you're looking for is "SB".
Q: Infiniti i35 2003 has no gas pedal response?
When I press on the gas pedal, nothing happens. The service engine light came on. It will turn over and idle but nothing when I press on the pedal.
A: TTD - Take To Dealer
Your car does have fly-by-wire throttle and as was said above, this requires professional diagnosis and parts that are probably only available at the dealer.

Q: Switching from Conventional to Mobil 1 on 2003 Infiniti I35?
Hello
My service advisor recommended for me to make the switch from conventional to Mobil 1, i have a 2003 Infiniti I35 with 55K miles on it. I do a lot of city driving, hard driving, live in DC so its 2nd/3rd to NY as far as traffic goes Please tell me if this is a good idea the pros why i should do it or a waste of money, cons why i shouldnt. Also how long can i go time wise without having to change the oil again, he told me 10K miles and 1 yr that seems a bit much, please advise on what is recommended and also what you think if i plan to do every 6K miles or 6months.
A: The mobil 1 will definately protect your engine better for the type of driving you do but I don't agree with the 10,000 miles between oil changes, I agree with your figure of 6,000 miles.
Q: 2004 infiniti I35 question?
My friend has a 2003/2004 model infiniti, she was getting both of her belts change when the mechanic could'nt get the belt off. I know on some cars, you need a special tool to take certain parts off, or it may have a certain type of bolt/nut/screw. Does anybody know if you need a certain type of tool to take the belts off a I35?
A: They are a little tricky, but I have yet to see one that a trained tech couldn't get off, unless and adjuster is completely locked up or something.
Q: Recommend an after market Navigation system for Infiniti 2003-I35?
A: Sure, just make sure that it is installed correctly.

A: Infiniti by far. More powerful, better looking, classier, better reliability, and better resale.

I'm looking between a 2000-2003 Infiniti I35 and a 2000-2003 Acura TL. What do you think is better based on looks (inside and out), price, dependability, maintenance, and driving experience?

Q: 2003 Infiniti i35...problems?
Hello. I have a 2003 Infiniti i35. 26,000 miles. When i bought the car in July of 2006 a Full tank of Gas used to give me about 300 miles. However, today, for example, the needle was almost on empty but i only got 228 miles for a FULL tank of gas which ends up being about 16 mpg in the city (i used to get around 24 in the city the first month or so). What is wrong? The car is in MINT condition and i cant find anything wrong with it. There is no warranty on the car so everything i do has to come from my pocket. I've read reviews on people with the same car and the same year who are getting around 24-26 MPG.
Please help. I need serious answers.
i live in california. normal weather. no snow or anything. i actually HAD the A/C on in july and through august and sept when i got my mpg of 24ish. Now, i dont. I dont even turn the heater on. And yes, i know how to to compare things: same conditions, etc. I am driving the same exact way i was in july and august when i got a mpg of 24, but its 16. what you think is going on?
A: There are so many things that can cause this. What you really need is access to a real scanner, not a code reader, and look at the live data.
Look at fuel trim and see what it is doing.
If it is taking fuel away, there is something causing an over-fueling condition. If it is adding fuel, then you are actually driving a little lean, but compensating for it by adding fuel with the accelerator, causing loss of fuel economy.
Looking at the fuel trim, along with the actual data readings for the MAF, Oxygen sensor(s) and other variables you can have a better idea of what is going on under the hood.
Unfortunately, these things are more and more requiring electronic monitoring for diagnostics, unlike years past when we could just about overhaul the car with a screwdriver, a couple of wrenches, a hammer and a pair of pliers.
Happy motoring
