Q: Buying an American 2006 Infiniti G35?
2 months back, I bought a 2007 Eclipse GS from a Canadian dealership brand new. It was a 7 year term lease? with no buyout at the end. I just found a 2006 Infiniti that was bought from a Infiniti dealer in the US and shipped here. Its a beaut and the car I always wanted so here are my 2 questions - 1) is it worth trading in my Eclipse to get this Infiniti in the long run ie. perhaps breaking my lease? (resale, reliability, practicality, etc.) and 2) is buying a US car ok? I noticed the only difference was it had miles instead of km on the odometer. help please thanks!

A: You will get killed on the early lease termination. To get an idea, go to kbb.com and find the trade in value for your Eclipse in good condition. Subtract about $2,000-$3000 from this and you have the true trade in value. Now get the payoff from the leasing company. Subtract the two numbers and you have the negative equity you'll need to come up with to get out of your lease early. I bet its about $6,000 or so. I don't think its worth it, but you're the one paying for it and driving the car. Good luck.

A: It's the VDC button on your lower left hand corner. Be careful when taking turns without it turned on because you'll be fish-tailing like crazy.

A: i have an FX35 an i love it but nowadays, I would probably buy the g35 if your not in love with the look of the fx as I am... better gas mileage, better performance and an option to get it is all wheel drive if you like ..Heads up, - the g35 was changed in 2007 and is much better and better looking than the 2006 !!

A: They're not only smaller, but they are completely different spoilers. The 2003-2005 G35 Coupes have a completely different (and better IMO) spoiler than the 2006-current. The previous posters are quite ill-informed.

A: For practicality, and thinking with your brain. The Honda Accord. For fun, sheer enjoyment, and thinking with your other head. The G35 coupe. The Honda is more reliable....better on gas....less to maintain. The Infiniti is more fun. You decide.

A: ive driven a G35 and FX45 (not fx35), both are different but both are great. if it was my choice i would go for the FX, simply because i see a lot of Gs where i live... the 35 is basically the same as a 45, just less powerful.. it all really depends on what ur looking for, both have basically the same interior, the G35 is obviously faster than the FXs... i just think the FX looks better, i like the way it drives, try and get it with full options if u can, the sport and tech packages make it that much better! :) i would recommend the G35 if u like to drive on twisty roads, its really great fun, but for everyday usage i would pick the FX, no real reason, just personal preference, i prefer SUVs for everyday use... i have a 2007 350z as a second car and i love to drive it on the winding roads when i get the chance! :) hope u enjoy ur new ride, watever u pick :)

A: The G35's are awesome cars. Very safe... but very fast as well. It shares the same motor as the Nissan 350Z. In my opinion - there's not a better car on the road. If the payments are affordable for her - Absolutely! Tell her to be very carefull with the speed. That car at 75 MPH seems like it's going 45. ***Beware tickets!!!
