Q: My 1999 Infiniti G20 and its hesitaiton problems in the cold...?
I have a 1999 Infiniti G20 and in the cold (35 and below) it has hesitation when accelerating from a stopped position. Recently we had a couple warm days, and there was no hesitation at all like it went away. I have been using fuel injector treatments and everything I can to clean out the fuel system. I still cannot figure out the problem because it is still hesitating.

A: Use higher octane gas or the fuel mixture is too lean or it can have water in the fuel.

Q: i have a 1995 infiniti g20 and i have had the motor replaced on the windshield wipers but they keep going out?
what can i do to get them to work again. can i go under the hood myself and do something or is it something that i need to get looked at? i mean, i already have had the motor changed, i dont want to get robbed again by the body shop. PLEASE HELP!!!!! there is no noise or movement.

A: Check wiper links. They may have been damaged by ice/snow. Common problem. I work at Infiniti parts and we sell them often. 28841-59J00 AND 28842-50J00 are the part numbers. You may be able to get them thru Nissan.

Q: what type of oil should i be using on a 1992 Infiniti G20?
does it really make a difference if i just use whatever kind of pick up? i usually use 20w50 cuz my dad told me to use it....but wasnt sure if he just said that just cuz or if he for somereason knew that its what i should be using on my infiniti

A: read your owners manual. It will most likely be 10W-40 or 10W-30.

Q: ok so i need a car and there is an infiniti G20 its real nice but it is a rebuilt car for4999 is it a bargain?
this is a rebuilt car but in the pics it looks completely repaired and it has 84k on it, black exterior with black leather seats power everything.

A: Is it a "rebuilt/salvage" title? If so, I'd stay away unless you're a good mechanic.

Q: Does anyone know any major differences between a 2000 Infiniti G20 luxury car and a 2000 Infiniti Touring?

A: The Touring is like a sport package. You get a rear spoiler, limited slip differential, foglights, performance tires and automatic temperature control. The automatic temperature control A/C is optional on the Luxury but the other stuff was exclusive to the Touring. Other than that, they are the same car.

Q: why does my 1995 Infiniti G20 stall?
I have a 1995 Infiniti G20, and it stalls when i don't apply the throttle and mainly at stop lights. does anyone know what could be the problem?

A: Probably the "idle air motor". You could also have an EGR valve hanging open or a vacuum line off or cracked.

Q: My Infiniti G20 car stereo lights won't work, any help?
The factory installed stereo lights does not light up however it is working properly. Radio and CD works fine. Is this a fuse problem? Any help will be greatly appreciated.

A: It might be a fuse or it's possible that the dimmer switch used to dim the instrument lights is turned to the lowest position. Usually if you have dash lights then you will have lights on the radio, because the lights on the radio go through the same power and dimmer switch as the dash lights. If you adjust the dimmer switch up until all the interior lights come on and you still have no radio lights, and the dash lights are working it's probably the LCD on the radio. These are expensive to repair and usually cheaper to replace the radio. If you have no dash lights then replace the fuse listed under Instruments, it's usually a 5 or 10 amp fuse. Well there you go, good luck!

Q: I have a 1993 Infiniti G20 wont start by pushing the clutch and turning the key and i want to know what wrong?


A: there is a safety switch on the clutch pedal that may have went bad on it,,this is a common thing with the infinity,,i own a repair shop,,and have seen 2 of these do the same thing yours is doing,,if it isn't the switch,,you may want to have it looked at by a good auto mechanic who knows about electrical,,he will be able to repair it a lot cheaper than a regular garage would be able to,,and a lot quicker too,,its not a complicated job too do,,but because it is a infinity,,people will tell you that it takes special tools to work on them with,,not true,,same as all the other cars,,i think there easier to work on my self,,because there built better,,and give less trouble,,i hope this help,s.

Q: installing amp in Infiniti g20 factory headunit?
i want to install my amp into my 2001 infiniti g20 but, i want to keep the factory headunit. my amp has speaker wire inputs so i heard you can just run wire from the back speakers to the speaker wire inputs and i will be the same as rca wires. my car has the bose system and it has a amp connected to the back speakers and i was wondering if i connect the wire before or after the amp? Also i was wondering if this will affect how my back speakers sound?

A: Splice the connection before the amp. Other opiton you can use a High level to RCA conversion before the amp and connect that way, This is would work better.

The inside of the car is mainly champagne, but small parts like the dashboard are a dark brown. What color should I paint the car BESIDES red and white? A: Paint it the same color as it was. If not the door jambs,inside of hood and inside of the trunk will have to be painted. That could get expensive! However,if you have the money to spend,a chocolate brown metallic would look good!

Q: I have an infiniti G20 year 1993, i want to know what size rims i can actually fit on there.?
I have tried 18 inch's but the bolt pattern was slightly off. its a 4 lug and I hate how the stock rims look. SOMEONE HELP ME!

A: The bolt pattern for 1991-1996 Infiniti g20's is 4x114.3. Wheels with this bolt pattern and universal 4-lug (wheels containing both 4x100 and 4x114.3) will fit. Q: Seatbelt warning light illuminates on 1991 Infiniti G20?
Where is the seatbelt warning sensor on a 1991 Infiniti G20? I notice my warning light and chime go off and wonder if the sensor has gone bad or is it a relay switch. It doesn't seem to do it with the passenger seat, just the driver's seat. I wonder how do you fix it besides unplugging the fuse, which I would like to avoid. Thanks for the help. nothing is set on the passenger side seat. forgot to mention that my Infiniti has passive restraints. Will this make a difference?

A: There are two sensors for that. One is under the seat cushion to tell the brain that there's someone in the seat. The other is in the buckle to tell the brain that it's engaged. It's usually not the sensor itself but, the wires that go to it. I'd check those for breaks first as well as the connector. It does in some cases come loose.
